FAQ

There is no such thing as a stupid question, but some questions do get asked quite a lot and the answers always remain the same.

 

1. Shipping - We try our best to get orders out as soon as possible. Orders placed before 12 pm usually get shipped the same day.

Local orders in the Cape Town area can take between 4 to 48 hours to deliver depending on location and how busy the couriers are.

National orders can take between 24 to 72 hours to deliver.

Please understand, once your order has been handed to the courier it's out of our hands. We can not change the shipping address, request a delivery day or time and we most certainly can not get your order shipped any quicker.

If you're in a real tight spot give us a call and let's figure something out.

 

2. Stock - We pride ourselves on stocking the widest range of film stocks we can. Sometimes it might seem like things are out of stock forever and the thought of us closing shop might pop into your head, but fear not. The film revival is greater than our suppliers can handle and the backlog for the majority of film stocks is huge.

If you have a really niche stock in mind we don't stock let us know. Do keep in mind though most suppliers have minimum order quantities in place which makes it difficult for us to buy a few rolls at a time.

 

3. Do you have a walk-in shop? We sure do! 7 Orphan Street in Cape Town City Centre. Please pop in, we would love to meet you.

 

4. Do you process film?

Definitely. You can drop it off at our store or mail it to us using our online lab service

Processing turnaround times vary and depend on the current backlog. We strive for same day delivery of C41 films, but best is to check when dropping your film off. If it's a really urgent job we offer a rush fee.

Our E6 films and 4x5's are done in batches once a week.

Black and white films are outsourced to Lady & Co. Studios. We have made use of a number of black and white specialists to process our film and we can with all honesty say that Claudia is the best there is. The attention to detail, care taken and her passion for processing are what set her apart from the rest.

- Dev + Scan: 1 to 7 days (please ask for current backlog)
- Dev only: Same day
  • E6:
- 7 days
  • B&W:
- 4 to 7 days
