Are you looking to learn how to hand process your own black and white film?
We are running an introductory session that looks at processing a roll of black and white 35mm or medium format film and making a black and white handprinted contact sheet.
A scan of the developed negatives is included too. The workshop is hands-on and will be punctuated half way through by a tea and coffee break.
The aim of the session is to work toward a deeper understanding of how to process black and white film and print on silver gelatine paper in order to hand print black and white contact sheets and a variety of test strips to decide on the most appropriate exposure time.
One should leave the session, feeling ready and confident to build this unique process into your own photographic practice.
In preparation for the session, you will need to photograph a roll of black and white film.
It can be either 35mm or medium format film.
The session runs for 3.5 to 4 hours.
All materials and chemistry are supplied.
